Description: This out-and-back hike begins near Old Fort, NC. We start with a long and steady, but not particularly steep, climb up Heartbreak Ridge with great views of the Seven Sisters along the way. After turning on the Old Toll Rd for a short distance, we climb up to Pinnacle Mtn. for lunch with a 360 degree view that includes Graybeard, Mt Mitchell, and Craggy Gardens. 14 miles, 4100 ft.
