Description: I plan to lead a on the Osprey and Townsend Trails at one o’clock; this hike is 7.6 miles long. This is an out and back hike with approximately 4/10 of a mile on the connector/Osprey Trail each way. [R-11] (note: the Osprey Trail parking lot will be on your left as you travel north on Yanceyville Road from Pisgah Church Road. and is approximately 0.3 of a mile north of Ronald McNair School. Also note if you make it to the bridge crossing Lake Townsend you have gone about 300 yards beyond the parking lot.)
