Description: This hike is a favorite of those who love to walk along a meandering creek lined with rhododendron groves and intriguing boulders. It begs to be crossed multiple times before it flows away, as if disappearing into the ground as an old cabin comes into sight in a clearing and invites the weary hiker to rest on its porch. There are some in the club who view this beautiful walk as a special treat when the breezes of early spring waft through the valley. So, I invite you to join me for a hike on this very lightly traveled trail. If the gods deem us good and meritorious PHOC citizens, they will give us a beautiful sunny and warm day. But if they decide that rain is what we deserve, we will graciously accept their decision and smile through it. At this time of year, the creek may be swollen with the rains of winter; I therefore strongly encourage you to bring your hiking poles. This hike is suitable for moderately experienced hikers.
