Description: Join me for a beautiful hike on the crest of the blue ridge across Doughton park from the picnic area below the big tree and shelter to Brinegar Cabin and back. It offers great views with blooming rhododendrons and other late spring flowers.

The hike has been changed due to total Parkway closure north of Brinegar Cabin. YOU MUST USE HIGHWAY 18 from Wilkesboro and drive north on the BRP to get to the Doughton Park area as you cannot get there from Highway 16 or 21. The Parkway is closed between hwy16 and hwy18 as well as north of Brinegar Cabin mp238.
