Description: Come with me to explore the rich foothills of nearby Elkin, NC - my humble hometown. On this newly opened trail, we will hike through rolling hills, rustic meadows and rural farmlands out to the hidden, and truly majestic, Carter Falls where we'll have a snack before making our way back the way we came. This will be an easy, relaxing hike meant for us to enjoy walking through the beautiful backcountry of my hometown. I will hold a social hour after the hike at Grassy Creek Vineyard and encourage all registrants to bring a pot-luck "finger-food" dish or snack that we can all share and enjoy after the hike at the winery and would love everyone to join me who can. 6 miles, 518 ft elev.
