Galax to Fries New River State Park

Description: This bike ride on the New River Trail will begin in Galax, VA at the New River State Park (Galax Access) The address is 212 E. Stuart Drive, Galax, VA 24333.  We will ride from Galax to Fries, a distance of around 17 miles. We will return to the cars by the same route, for a total of 34 mies. The trail surface is gravel so hybrid or mountain bikes are necessary. Road bikes are not suitable. Please bring at least 2 spare bike tubes. Riders are responsible for arranging transport of themselves and bikes. Please email Ruth by noon Wednesday August 13 if you plan to participate.
