Neither the threat of wind nor the promise of rain could not buffet our hike. Led by the fearless Sandy Mitchell, we marched ever onward across the open glades and rolling meadows of Bluff Mountain and out into the holler of Brinegar Cabin and back again. We leaned upon each other and learned to laugh through the rain.
