Description: We’ll do the Rock Castle Gorge loop by the traditional counterclockwise route but will need to strategically carpool and go early due to the very limited parking space at the trailhead. We’ll meet in Stuart, VA at 8:30 AM to further consolidate riders before traveling to the trailhead. After the ascent, lunch will be above 3500 feet at the Rocky Knob shelter followed by the walk along the ridge. We’ll then descend along Rock Castle Creek to return to our cars.
