Description: This is a beautiful loop hike that offers a great deal of variety both in terrain and vistas. After a challenging ascent on a narrow, rough, scrambly trail, we will hike along the ridge parallel to the Blue Ridge Pkwy before climbing back down into the gorge, crossing some amazing rock formations before heading back down along the creek. Please register or email me for meeting locations and departure times. Carpooling is a must, as parking is tight. 11 miles, approx. 2800 feet of elevation gain. [R-39].
