Description: My plan is to hike Robbins Branch Trail, part of Birkhead Mountain Trail then Hannah’s Creek Trail. Let’s plan to meet and be ready to hike at 9:30 starting at Robbins Branch Trail head for this 7 mile hike. Please bring lunch. From Asheboro take 49 south between 5.5 and 6 miles, turn right onto Science Hill Road drive around .3 of a mile at a stop sign, then turn left on Lassiter Mill Road. Drive 5 to 5.5 miles and turn left on a gravel road and drive around .6 of a mile to parking lot [note: on Lassiter Mill Road there is a National Forest sign on the right shoulder with Robbins Branch Trail at the bottom].
