Description: Take a break and get outdoors locally with an easy out and back hike on the Bill Craft Trail. Much of the trail skirts the edge of an active wetland area; it is primarily located within the Richardson-Taylor Preserve. The trail is typically in excellent shape; access is from a gravel parking lot on the north side of Plainfield Road. Head north on Church Street crossing over Pisgah Church Road. Cross Lake Townsend twice, turn left onto Plainfield Road. Trailhead is on your right after about a mile. Or head north on Lake Brandt Road, turn right on Plainfield Road, trailhead will be on your left after a few miles. You can utilize Google Maps by entering Bill Craft Trailhead Parking. Last minute decisions fine (no need to register). Hike will be rain or shine (or snow).
