4 Peaks at Hanging Rock SP

Description: If you would like a moderate-strenuous hike closer to home, please consider joining me for this hike at HRSP. We will meet at the lake parking lot in the back of the lot near the trailhead for a 4 peak hike including: Wolf Rock, House Rock, Cook’s Wall, and Moore’s Knob. We will hike the Wolf Rock Trail to Cook’s Wall. Coming back we will connect to the Moore’s Wall Loop via the Magnolia Springs connector and have lunch at the Tower. We will stop to admire the view from Wolf Rock, continue on to House Rock, stop at Cook’s Wall while viewing Sauratown and Pilot Mountain and have lunch on Moore’s Knob taking in a panoramic view. Since the trail has some uneven steps and pretty rocky sections, poles might be helpful. I hope to convince some of you to stop at the Front Porch Creamery on the way out for homemade ice cream.
