Description: The plan is for an out-and-back hike along Gragg Prong and Lost Cove Creek in the Lost Cove Creek Wilderness Study Area, with stops to swim in swimming holes at Gragg Prong Falls and Huntfish Falls on Lost Cove Creek. The streams are tributaries of Wilson Creek southeast of Linville, NC. The drive time via Boone to the trailhead at Roseborough from Winston-Salem is about 2 hours 15 minutes and from Greensboro about 2 hours 45 minutes. The hike is an easy 2.9 miles each way with a total elevation gain of 1,095 feet. Please register online or e-mail Vance Barron by Thursday before the trip if you plan to go.
