Description: Join us for a fun weekend in Elkin, NC! On Friday evening, we will host a social and meal at our campsite at Byrd’s Branch Campground. Saturday, we plan to kayak 2 sections of the Yadkin River from Roaring River to Crater Park (Class I, II) (sections may change depending on river conditions) and then close out the day with dinner at a local brewery. [*Paddlers should be experienced with and comfortable on Class II whitewater.] Sunday morning, we will explore the easy trails in the Carter Falls area to finish out our weekend. Each participant will arrange their own accommodations. **Day trip option – Saturday kayaking would make a great day trip option for those traveling from either Greensboro or Winston-Salem areas.
