Description: Come with me to explore the rich foothills of nearby Elkin, NC - my humble hometown. On this newly opened trail, we will hike through rolling hills, rustic meadows and rural farmlands out to the hidden, and truly majestic, Carter Falls where we'll have a snack before making our way back the way we came. We will utilize the Vineyard trail on the way back to hike out to the Grassy Creek Winery where we'll stop for a rest before making our way back to our cars the way we came. This will be an easy, relaxing hike meant for us to enjoy walking through the beautiful backcountry of my hometown. I will hold a social hour after the hike at Grassy Creek Vineyard and would love everyone to join me who can. 6 miles, 518 ft elev. [R-11]
