Description: This is a great area for fall hiking, less than an hour from the Triad. It offers large vistas into beautifully haunting woods, a walk along a lazy stream, and gentle slopes. Last year, the fall foliage was magnificent, a riot of deep reds, vibrant oranges, and mellow yellow, and I am begging the gods to bestow a repeat upon us. This is a suitable hike for almost anyone who can tackle a double- digit hike, without having to worry about steep climbs and eroded terrain. Please register online NO LATER THAN 6:00 pm on the Thursday before the hike.
