Description: This is a 10 mile out and back hike on the MST along the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Park Vista Inn to Jeffress Park; this section of the Parkway is closed to traffic: hopefully, this will be an excellent chance to experience the fall colors in complete solitude. Lunch will be at Jeffress Park, an overlook with excellent views; this is the halfway point. We will also walk to see the Cascades waterfall. Please email for meeting times; currently plan on carpooling if you desire. 10 miles, 1,400 feet of elevation gain, [R-25], moderate.
