New Member Orientation and Light Hike

Description: Thinking about joining but wondering what it is all about, new member and not sure how to get started or recent member needing a refresher course? Meet with us at 1:30 p.m. in the covered area outside the Lake Higgins Marina office on Hamburg Mill Road in Greensboro. Participants will hear about the PHOC, it’s opportunities, appropriate gear for PHOC hikes, what to expect and how to stay safe on the trail. The orientation will take about 45 minutes. Afterward we hope you will join us for a three-mile hike in the woods on the Bald Eagle Trail – of course all members are welcome! Those interested in the hike should bring plenty of water, a snack, and wear appropriate clothing to be outside.
