Description: On Sunday, I plan to lead an easy hike on the Osprey and Townsend Trails; this hike is 7.6 miles long. This is an out and back hike with approximately 3/10 of a mile on the connector/Osprey Trail each way. Note: the Osprey Trail parking lot will be on your left as you travel north on Yanceyville Road from Pisgah Church Road, and is approximately 0.3 of a mile north of Ronald McNair School. (Also, note if you make it to the bridge crossing Lake Townsend you have gone about 300 yds beyond the parking lot). 7.6 miles. [R-10] The hike will start at 9 a.m.
