Description: Come hike with me at Stone Mountain State Park on Saturday, January 25th. First introduced to me by the great Nicole Mazgaj, this saunter has become one of my favorite hikes around Stone Mountain SP and offers a full and awe-inspiring view of the magnificent monadnock, Wolf Rock. Together, we'll begin at the backpacker's parking lot, and using the MST, we will hike up, over, down, around, up and back down Wolf Rock. We will cross two babbling creeks, crowned by the grace of the rhododendrons and get to experience a unique view into history as we pass by a few stills before experiencing the majesty of two of Stone Mountain's most stunning waterfalls. As always, it would not be a true "Finn adventure" if we did not have a crisp trail-cap afterwards at the Angry Troll, and I would love for all who can to join me there after the hike! 11 miles, 1549ft elev, [R-26]
