Description: This hike begins at the CCC Camp Road at Rock Castle Creek, climbs up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, goes over Rocky Knob, returns to Rock Castle Creek, and descends along Rock Castle Creek to the starting point. Distance: 11.3 miles. Elevation gain: 2,257 feet. [R33] Register on the web site no later than Tuesday before the hike. Registration is limited to 15 people.
