Description: **DISCLAIMER**: There are only 10 total rentals available from Salem Lake Park, so I have set the limit to 10. Each of these rentals are first-come, first-serve. If you are bringing your own kayak, no need to register for this paddle - just email me directly and let me know you’d like to join - even if the limit of 10 has been reached for the outing - you are still welcome to come if you plan to bring your own kayak.
Please join me for a delightful Sunday paddle around Salem Lake in Winston-Salem, NC. This lake is usually teeming with wildlife and glistening, emerald waters. We will put in at the beach near the marina office and complete a loop around the lake, with the option of exploring some of the other avenues it offers beneath the bridge. You may bring your own kayak and put in for a fee of $4.00 or rent a kayak from the lake for $4.00/hr. Bring lunch, sunscreen, personal flotation device, and plenty of water with you and please be prepared for a moderately-paced paddle. Rentals sell out quickly and are first-come, first-serve. If renting, I highly recommend arriving early to claim your rental and get geared up.
