Description: Hot Springs River Run! Get away from “it all”! Plan to spend the weekend in Hot Springs, NC. This is a 14 mile paddle, on the French Broad River, Saturday, July 26th, with class I and II+ rapids. This paddle is NOT for beginners. Some experience is necessary. We now offer a shorter 5 mile run to Murray Branch Access. You will be responsible for your own lodging accommodations. There are a variety of cabins, B&B’s, houses, etc. Lodging information can be found at the following websites www.hotspringsnc.org and www.nchotsprings.com Hot Springs was devastated by hurricane Helene and many businesses are still rebuilding. The campground has not reopened as of mid May. The put in in Hot Springs and the take out at Wolf Creek are accessible. Access to the take out at Murray Branch or Paint Rock will be confirmed mid June as well as checking the status of the campground.
