Description: Please join me for one of the more adventurous hikes that I lead through the Linville Gorge Wilderness that crests the peaks of the two most iconic mountain-tops along Jonas Ridge. On this thrilling outing, we will begin at the Spence Ridge Trailhead then use the Hawksbill Ledge Trail to ascend Hawksbill Mountain where we will experience an awe-inspiring, 360-degree view of the LGW and surrounding countryside. We will then descend via Table Rock Road, make our way back to the trailhead before ascending Table Rock via the MST. The ascent to Table Rock will also feature a vigorous scramble up Devil's Cellar for those who are inclined to do so. This is a highly strenuous hike and unknown participants will be screened. The hike will feature vigorous backcountry ascents on overgrown or sometimes potentially dangerous trails and physically challenging scrambles over boulders and rocks. This is not a pet-friendly hike. Participant limitation set to 10 in accordance with Linville Gorge Wilderness ordinances. Social hour will be held at Moondog's Pizza in nearby Morganton after the hike, so please plan carpools accordingly.
