Description: The recent amount of precipitation, snow turning into ice, has made it necessary for me to change this hike, because I have finally realized that crossing 32 swollen streams strewn with boulders would not be safe with a group of more than 13 people. We will be doing a hike with a bit less mileage (8 miles) and a little bit more of undulating terrain. I have moved it to the MST from Park Vista to Jeffress Park. Although the the Blue Ridge Parkway may still be closed, we can access the trailhead via US. 221 and park our car at the Motor Lodge. PLEASE REGISTER ONLINE BY THE SPECIFIED DEADLINE.
