Description: One of my NC favorites. Upper range of moderate difficulty. Rough trail in places (climbing thru trees where downed). Many stream crossings (hiking poles needed for balance on slippery rocks). Plan to get wet and dirty. A nice work out. Very beautiful landscape. Out and back hike. We'll stop take a break for snack/lunch at Caudill Cabin. Trail head parking can get crowded - suggest car pooling and/or arrive early. I'll be there at 9am, hike begins 9:30am. I'll try to connect via email with everyone signed up before the hike.
