Description: Please join me for a scenic and tranquil paddle within the heart of the Yadkin Valley at the Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir. I intend to bring my paddle board, so please be advised it moves a little slower than a kayak. Together, we will enjoy a moderately-paced exploration of the reservoir and explore several of the coves and inlets. Cased between the Brushy Mountains to the southeast and the majestic Blue Ridge to the northwest, our day promises to be filled with glistening waters amid the beauty of a mountainous backdrop. Don’t have a kayak/canoe/paddle board? No problem! Foothills Outdoor Adventures will provide rentals and have them delivered to our launch location at the Visitor’s Center. Please contact Foothills Outdoor Adventures for pricings/packages/logistic details. Regardless, there is a 7.00 day-use launch fee which we pay at the VC. After the paddle, we’ll have a social hour at Dooley's Tavern in Wilkesboro, NC.
