Description: I hope you’ll join me for a beautiful Saturday hike at Stone Mountain State Park. Carpooling will be available from Greensboro and Winston Salem. We will begin at the Backpackers Parking Lot, hike up the MST Connector trail, turn right on the Wolfe Rock trail and proceed to the Black Jack Ridge trail and to the Homestead for a food stop. After lunch we’ll take the scenic Stone Mountain Loop Trail to the right, briefly follow Wolfe Rock and the MST Connector trails back to the parking lot. Hopefully the rhododendron will be blooming. 8 miles, @1400’ elevation (R-23).
Required Gear: Trekking poles, water, snacks
