Description: Listen up, fellow mountain goats. Come and join me for an all-day adventure at Grandfather Mountain State Park. We're hauling ourselves up the Tanawha Trail from the Blue Ridge Parkway, death-gripping ladder rungs to Calloway Peak, plunging down the Chute, and scrambling our way to the Swinging Bridge — where you will stand, legs trembling, wind howling, and wonder what life decisions led you here. This is a long day. Seasoned hikers only — unknown registrants will be screened. No pets, no fear of heights, no excuses. Please note: no pets allowed on this hike and this hike is not a good fit for anyone who has issues with heights, as there are technically challenging scrambles and sections of full height exposure.
