Description: Please join me at the Pilot Mountain visitor center at 8:30 a.m. for an out and back on the Grindstone Trail. We will hike the Grindstone Trail going counterclockwise to the base of the summit and connect back to the Grindstone via the Ledge Springs Trail. This trail is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful walk in nature. Obviously we will do some climbing on the front end and rock stepping on the ledge portion. Poles might be helpful on the Ledge Springs portion. 7.1 miles, 1500 ft elev. [R-22]
