Description: On Saturday, August 8th, let's enjoy hiking the Osprey & Townsend watershed trail in Greensboro.This is an 8 mile out and back hike from Yanceyville Road to the soccer fields at Bryan Park. We'll see some beautiful lake views, diverse hardwoods and summer wildflowers. Remember to use insect repellent to avoid ticks. We should finish around 11:30. Let's meet at the small gravel parking lot on the left side of Yanceyville Rd as you travel north. Directions to parking lot at 4907 Yanceyville Road: Head north on Yanceyville Road from Pisgah Church Road or the 840 Loop, past Ronald McNair Elementary School and Reedy Fork Baptist Church. Shortly after passing Reedy Fork Baptist Church take a left into a driveway to a small gravel parking lot that is often obscured by tall evergreens. The parking lot is on your left before crossing the bridge.
