Description: New River paddle trip with optional camping at New River State Park (US 221 Access). Paddle the South Fork of the New River in NC on August 29th. Join us at New River State Park (US 221 Access) in Laurel Springs, NC for the weekend or make it a day trip from the Triad. Participants should be comfortable on Class I-II moving water and arrange for their own equipment. Home base will be at the State Park. The river section we paddle will be decided based on water levels that weekend. Individuals are responsible for their own campground reservations and may choose the RV area or tent area.
