Description: The leaves may be turning in Morrow Mountain State Park allowing us to hike to beautiful views of the rolling Piedmont, Uwharrie Mountains, and the rivers and lake between. This 1400-foot elevation hike will start from the park office parking lot at 9:00 a.m. We will begin with the Hattaway Mountain 3.1 mile loop, then back past the visitors center to the Morrow Mountain Trail. We will have lunch at the summit then return to the park office finishing before 2 PM. Contact me by Friday December 13th at 12 PM if you plan to come, where you live and your interest in car pooling.
