Description: This is a nice set of trails along the Haw River that connects with part of the Mountain to Sea Trail. There are spots for bird & wildlife watching and part of the trail follows the river. If coming from NC 87, you'll turn onto Gerringer Mill Rd at Western Alamance County HS. Go approximately 1 mile and the entrance is on your left right after crossing the Haw River. There is a medium sized parking lot with restrooms at the trailhead. There are approximately 4 miles of trails with opportunities to shorten to 2 or 3 mile hikes.
Required Gear: Water and good footwear. Trekking poles optional.
